Reviewing Eau Thermale Avène RetinAL Eye Cream

Recently, I decided to get my milia farm taken care of and went to the aesthetician to get those little suckers picked out. In case anyone is unaware of what milia is, it is those little white dots and bumps that are usually located around an individual's eyes. They are not harmful and they do not hurt, but they are less than savory to look at when you see them on your own face. To get a more ~scientific~ definition, I would suggest Googling it (I'm not a science kind of gal). Anyways, when I was getting my face picked at and squeezed to death, I started to find the pain to be unbearable. I had to stop her and ask her if there was a way for her to numb my face in any way. Of course, just as my luck would have it, she would have to have the dermatologist do it and the derm wasn't there. I was also told that I would have to come back and that the procedure would take OVER AN HOUR. I would also have to take a whole weekend off to heal and rehabilitate my face (yes, my milia is that bad).
In the meantime, however, the aesthetician gave me a little sample tube of the Eau Thermale Avène RetinAL Eye Cream. I have pretty sensitive skin and my skin also has a tendency to get super dry, super fast, so thinking of using a retinoid-based cream really freaked me out. The aesthetician suggested that I use the product because it could help bring the milia more to the surface so that when I go in for my next extraction, they would be easier to remove. I was afraid that the retinoid aspect of the cream would disrupt the stability of my skin and cause it to act up.
The results, though, were absolutely amazing! I noticed that my dark circles were diminishing, a lot of the milia around my eyes had come to the surface (some even came out on their own!), and I just noticed an overall "awake" look. I looked like I actually got a good night's sleep for the first time in my college career. I love that it is non-comedogenic and won't clog my pores or cause even more milia. It is light yet creamy and a little goes a long way. It retails online for $48 on the Eau Thermale Avène's website, but if you are in the market for a really excellent eye cream, this should definitely be on your list. I will be buying this again and again.

Well, Hello There!

Hi there! My name is Heather and I am so excited to be starting this blog. I have a real love for makeup and I am thrilled to share my love for beauty with my readers!
I am a senior in college and am the mother to one dog named Poppy (hence the name of my blog). I love reading, crafting, baking, and, of course, doing makeup! In my free time, I can be caught watching Bob's Burgers and scrolling through Buzzfeed.
I will try to post at least twice a week, and I will be reviewing makeup, skin, and hair products, and also doing demo makeup on some of my lovely friends!
I can't wait to get to know my readers and share my experiences with you all!

Love,
Heather
